In celebrating the End Of Year 2000, the International
Society is proud to present Chinese porcelain and
pottery by renowned Chinese contemporary porcelain
artists. It is the first time that such a spectacular
exhibition of porcelain pieces from Jingdezhen is
available outside of China. Chinese porcelain and
pottery have been admired throughout the world for
many centuries. Jingdezhen has been a major center
where the most beautiful porcelain wares have been
made. Numerous skilled porcelain artists and craftsmen
have been trained there. Their legacy has been retained
and innovative ideas developed by contemporary artists
and craftsmen. Jindezhen wares embody aesthetics and
function and have been eagerly collected. This exhibition
showcasing a large number of exceptionally fine pottery
and porcelain designed and decorated by renowned masters
is to celebrate the end of a millennium and to welcome
the new one. The exhibition will only be in Boston
for two weeks from Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000 and continue
through January 6, 2001
The Tremont Gallery is located at 276 Tremont Street,
