CCI presented it's own dance group in innumerable performances throughout the New England states. It also brougt groups from Taiwan and mainland China as well as from New York to perform in Boston, and organized local talents and present them in formal dance concerts. Music and dance were important components of Chinese Culture Instistute's Education Outreach program which provided systemic instructions, workshops and performances to area schools free of charge.

Examples of Music and Dance presentations:

July 19, 1980, China Dance Company from Taipei performed at Josiah Quincy School to perform breathtakingly beautiful repertoire. It was the first time that a high calibre professional dance company from Asia was presented to the Boston audience.

July 16 and 17, 1983, China Dance Company from Taipei came to Boston again under our sponsorship and gave two sold out performances at the Kresge Auditorium of MIT.

June 16 and 17, 1984, Cross Current: A Showcase of Chinese Dancers and choreographers-- four Chinese dancers and choreographers, Fernadina Chan, Nikki Hu, Stephanie Moy and Da-yong Zhang of very different backgrounds and trainings were presented in a production at MIT's Kresge Auditorium. A varied repertoire with a spectrum ranging from traditional Chinese dance to classical and specially choreographed ballet was performed..

October 15, 1984, Han Sheng Troupe from Taipei was formed by singers of folk and popular songs. We co-sponsored their production in Boston.

October 23, 1984, CCI and NACA cosponsored the Boston appearance of China Performing Arts First U.S. Tour. Two performances were given at MIT's Kresge Auditorium and the Mass College of Arts' Tower Auditorium respectively.

November 1, 1987, CCI produced A Showcase of Chinese Music and Dance, at Kresge Auditorium of MIT. Featured dancers included Zhu Ming-ying, Gui Pei-pei, Liu Guo-zhu, Chou Min and Yu Hisao-yu,Musicians included Tian Ying, Guiping Deng, Sun Yong , Li Hong-wu, Wang Chang-yuan, Chang Jian-yi. It was the first time in Boston that performing artists from mainland China and Taiwan were brought together on the same stage to present the great diversity of Chinese culture as expressed in music and dance.

December 29, 1987, CCI co-sponsored Fu-Hsin Chinese Opera Troupe from Taipei to perform at Kresge Auditorium.

June 11, 1989 CCI produced a concert featuring five outstanding young musicians, pianist Tian Ying, Violinist Mira Zheng Rong Wang, Baritone Haijin Fu, Sopranos Guiping Deng, Gao Man-hua, at the Kresge Auditorium

April 20, 1990, CCI presented Yo Yo Ma in two concerts with Lynn Chang and Joel Fan.

Nov. 6, 1991 CCI presented pianist Tian Ying at CCI

Nov.7, 1991 CCI presented pianist Tian Ying at the Kresge Auditorium of M.I.T.

Nov.8, 93, CCI presents Tian Ying, Josephine change, Wu Yue-qi and Lancy Lee in concert at Northern Essex Community College Foundation.

August 28, 1997 CCI sponsored Distinguished Vocalists From China presented by Boston Park and Recreation Deaprtment at the Emerson Majestic Theatre. The performing vocalists were Zhang Xing Yan, Wei Jing, Sun Yufeng, Jiang Ning accompanied by Esther Ning Yau.

October 31, 1997, CCI presented bass Zhang Xing-yuan's recital at the Kresge Auditorium accompanies by Jung Mi Lee. The Boston Globe's critic called Zhang's talent "one in a billion."

January 9, 1999, Rainbow of a Century, a dance concert featuring Chu Ling and Dancer
